Beneath this seemingly unremarkable town, players will see different caves, ruins of cities and even temples, according to the game's official website. These different locations are connected, so players will consistently have areas to explore. However, they should still be careful as there are traps lying in wait.

In addition to having to navigate through these complex dungeons, players will also have to deal with different enemies that populate these locations.

Enemies can come in the form of enormous beasts, strange insects or even knights and all of them will pose different challenges in combat.

Notably, not all beings players encounter while going through "Hollow Knight" will be hostile to them, and they may even be able to befriend some of them.

Players will also see that their characters can likewise grow and get stronger as they continue to make progress. The skills and the abilities characters possess can apparently evolve inside the game, so players will have a reason to go deeper into the dungeons beyond just the need to see and explore more of them.

An intriguing mystery also lies at the heart of the game, and players can learn even more about it as they venture deeper into the dungeons, deal with enemies and discover more about Dirtmouth and its secrets.

Developers also released a new trailer for the game recently for those curious to learn more about what it will be like.
