Holly Holm News: 'The Preacher's Daughter' Believes She Can Defeat Ronda Rousey '10 times out of 10'

Reigning UFC bantamweight queen Holly Holm is more than confident that she will win in a rematch against mixed martial arts superstar and former champion Ronda Rousey.

Holm was able to shock the prizefighting world through a second round knockout victory against "Rowdy" during their main event fight at UFC 193 on November 15th at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

Since winning the belt in 2012 back in the now defunct promotion company Strikeforce, Rousey has defeated every single one of her opponents. Upon her official signing in the UFC, she continued her streak, winning all her fights by stoppage. Prior to the Holm fight, her last three bouts lasted a total of one minute and six seconds.

The manner of which she has defeated her opponents earned Rousey a number of accolades, including being branded as the "most dominant athlete alive", courtesy of Sports Illustrated. Which is why during the post-fight press conference, both Holm and UFC president Dana White agreed that giving Rousey an immediate rematch would be the right move to make.

"The rematch makes a lot of sense. I think the rematch is what people would want to see," White said.

According to Holm, she has been in the same position that Rousey is in now. She, in turn, said, "With a champion like Ronda who has gone out of her way – above and beyond – to do great things, absolutely, she deserves a rematch. I don't look at this belt and think I've made it. I think I still have things that I need to do."

For Rousey's part, a return to action is something she is willing to hold off for a while. Apart from the six-month medical suspension that was imposed on her, she also previously declared her intent to get away for a while and come back at UFC 200, which is set to take place in July 2016.

But when the rematch does take place, Holm says she already know what the outcome will be, noting that she can beat Rousey "ten times out of ten."

"Ten," Holm said during a Q&A session with The New York Times. "Because if I tell myself that there is one that I might not get, then I'll be vulnerable. I also know that I'm beatable, so I'm going to train twice as hard."

Holm is confident that Rousey will be back with a vengeance and something to prove. She says, "She's going to come back. She's mad that it's not her title anymore. I've got to be twice as ready as last time."
