Holly Holm vs. Valentina Shevchenko - Next Fight on FOX 20: 'The Preacher's Daughter' Returns to the UFC Octagon to Take On 'Bullet'
Holm vs. Shevchenko on UFC on FOX 20 this Sunday. Holm takes on kickboxing and boxing champ Bullet who is number 7 in her division.
Former boxing and kickboxing champ Holly "The Preacher's Daughter" Holm will come back to the Octagon after losing her title to Miesha "Cupcake" Tate via technical submission in March. Holm will fight Valentina "Bullet" Shevchenko from Kyrgyzstan as a headliner for UFC on FOX 20 on Sunday, July 22, 2016 starting at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Holm was in her element during her last fight which made Tate more frustrated than ever to take her on. But Tate was surprised that it was not that easy to beat the Albuquerque, New Mexico native Holm.

The fight lasted five rounds. Tate, sensing that she had to take the last round, made her move halfway round five. She took Holm down, got behind her back and then immediately positioned her arm for a choke.
Holm tried to wiggle out by hitting Tate to the canvas. But this move only made matters worse for The Preacher's Daughter since her opponent only placed more pressure around her neck. Tate had holm quitting after two minutes of round 5.
To come back as a better fighter
Holm had no excuses for her defeat and simply said that she failed to give her best. She also vowed to come back as a better fighter in her next fights. Holm said in an Instagram post: "This is not the end for me. I am going to train hard and show that I am better than this. I am down but not out."
Her upcoming fight is Holm's chance to reprise her name and to prove that she indeed has become a better fighter just like what she promised after being defeated by Tate.
Valentina Shevchenko
Shevchenko is a 28-year old fighter who is a champion boxer and kickboxer. She is now number 7 in her division and plans to rise up one challenge after another. Bullet has a record of 12 wins and only 2 losses. She has won five straight wins which has helped her rise in her ranks.
She recently lost to Nunes, who is now reining champion, in March at "UFC 196."
UFC headline fight
Holm vs. Shevchenko headlines the UFC event. It will also feature a lightweight match between Edson "Junior" Barboza and Gilbert "El Nino" Melendez. A heavyweight fight is also at hand between Francis "The Predator" Ngannou and Bojan Mihajlovic. Another female match will also be featured between strawweight Felice "Lil Bulldog" Herrig and Kailin Curran.
