'Homeland' News, Spoilers: Show Boss Reveals A Happy In-A-Relationship Carrie In Season 5 Premiere

Making history for being one of its kind, Showtime's critically-acclaimed drama "Homeland" is now ready to kick off its highly-anticipated 5th season, which according to reports, were shot entirely in Germany.

But the new location won't only be the most exciting part of the upcoming season. Instead, it would be the state to which fans will find Carrie in Berlin. According to the show's executive producer Alex Gansa (via TVLine), Claire Danes' alter-ego will be living with her new "source of happiness:" her new boyfriend Jonas (Alexander Fehling).

"She's in a normal, stable relationship," the showrunner told the media outlet. "This isn't Brody. Or Quinn. He's conventional in the best sense. He's a rock for her."

Her days are filled with her duties working as an employee in a German private security firm. Despite this out-of-the-radar gig, her CIA ex-boss Saul (Mandy Patinkin) would still be able to get a grasp on her whereabouts.

Gansa meanwhile added that Carrie and Quinn's (Rupert Friend) paths will cross "very, very soon" as the new season progresses.

On related news, the Daily Mail shared a series of behind-the-scene snapshots revealing the 36-year-old actress wearing a brunette bobbed wig as she takes on her character opposite to the show's newcomer, Miranda Otto, who plays Allison Carr – "the current Berlin Chief of Station."

Their meeting, which took place at a café, appears to be an unplanned one as Danes only sported a casual getup consist of jeans, boots and a T-shirt. Otto, on the other hand, was complete in her business attire of a dark skirt suit and high heels.

Their conversation appears to be intense. Could this meeting once again be involved with Saul? Fans may know from earlier casting reports that Carr works directly under Carrie's former mentor.

The new season of "Homeland" which is composed of 12 brand new segments, will kick off in October 4, at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
