Homeland New Season Trailer Video Puts Carrie Mathison in Explosive Situation
Season 4 of the American political thriller television series, "Homeland" is set to premiere on Oct. 5. The season is also set to take place in Pakistan and Afghanistan, with Carrie Mathison being assigned to a dangerous assignment by the CIA.
A trailer for the fourth season was put out on YouTube and it shows Carrie in charge of a ground operation in Pakistan. Having seen the bad guys' movements, she receives a call from Saul saying that he has confirmed the target and will commence on Carrie's orders. She confirms the order and gets in a car while a missile seemingly blows up the bad guys, with Carrie watching the explosion from the side-view mirror of the car.
The video features Lorde's "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" which was also the track used in the "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" as a soundtrack.
The trailer may not have come from a scene from the upcoming season as it is a teaser after all, but it shows what kind of working relationship Carrie and Saul now has going on.
Aside from Claire Dane and Mandy Patinkin's return as Carrie and Saul respectively, other main characters will return as well. Rupert Friend as Peter Quinn, Tracy Letts as Andrew Lockhart, Nazanin Boniadi as Fara Sherazi, and Laila Robins as Martha Boyd will all be returning in Season 4.
Homeland was created developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa for Showtime, based on an Israeli series called "Hatufim" or "Prisoners of War," which was created by Gideon Raff.
