'Homeland' Season 4 Premiere Date, Cast Spoilers: October 5, 2014 - Brody and Flashbacks
"Homeland" is an American political thriller television series which airs on the channel Showtime. The series is developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa and is based on an Israeli television series called "Hatufim," created by Gideon Raff. Showtime renewed the series for a fourth season on Oct. 22, 2013 and will premiere on Oct. 5 later this year.
Season 4 will be seeing Carrie Mathison, portrayed by Claire Danes, on a new mission working together with Saul Berenson. She has been transferred to a new outpost in the middle east, such as in Kabul and Islamabad.
The first five episodes of the fourth season already have been given titles. Episode one is "The Drone Queen," episode two is "Trylon and Perisphere," episode three is "Shalwar Kameez," episode four is "Iron in the Fire," and episode five is "About a Boy."
The latest trailer for the series was revealed earlier this month and promises two episodes of the Season 4 premiere. It sees Carrie being in-charge of drone strike operations but is called back to the United States for an inquiry when an operation goes wrong, killing innocents in the process. What's worse is that the tragedy was recorded in a video and posted online.
There are also speculations of fan-favorite character Brody's return to the series after there were reports of Damian Lewis -- who plays Brody -- leaving his trailer on the set. However, Lewis might only be appearing during flashbacks and would not be regularly appearing in episodes.
