'Homeland' season 5 episode 11 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Carrie follows a lead but ends up in a dilemma
"Homeland" is down to its last two episodes. In upcoming season 5 episode 11, Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) and Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) continue to figure out the next location of the terrorist attack while Quinn struggles to stay alive.
Based on sneak peek videos from Showtime, Carrie will end up in a dilemma and one that she might not easily get out of unscathed. While following a lead, she ends up deciding if Quinn's life is worth risking for the lives of many and vice versa.
Quinn, who was held captive by terrorists in previous episodes, is now in a hospital bed comatose. When he'll wake from coma cannot be ascertained. His doctor provides no clear answer when Saul asks him when they might expect Quinn to wake up.
Despite his fragile situation, Saul tries to convince the doctor to wake him up as Carrie listens quietly. The duo believe Quinn has vital information that might lead them to the Jihaddis' next target.
"We need him awake," Saul says. "I don't think you understand. This man was in the company of terrorists planning a mass causality attack here in Berlin less than 6 hours … he may have vital information that will stop that from happening."
The terrorist group had previously threatened to release an "invisible and merciless poison" upon unsuspecting citizens of a major European city.
Unfortunately, the doctor doesn't budge. "The minute he is conscious, we will let you know," he tells them.
Carrie, however, seems desperate to pry the information from Quinn even at the risk of his life. In another sneak peek video, viewers can see her telling a wide-eyed Quinn:
"You penetrated a terrorist cell. They're planning an attack here in Berlin. I need to know where."
It's not certain if she got the answer she was looking for though, but Quinn can be seen vomitting blood on his hospital gown.
"Homeland" airs Sundays on Showtime at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
