'Homeland' Season 5 News, Cast, Spoilers: Carrie Turns to Saul
"Homeland" is gearing up for more exciting episodes. As the mystery keeps building, Carrie's (Claire Danes) current mission is also getting dangerous as ever as she feels pressed to ask help from the most unlikely people, including Saul.
As viewers recently learned, Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) became a victim of a former Russian Intelligence hitman. According to Astrid (Nina Hoss), this person no longer works with the government but is currently accepting freelance jobs. However, this is enough for Carrie to move on thinking that the Russians are the ones responsible for the target on her back. Due to this assumption, Carrie sets on finding help with the most unlikely people, like Laura Sutton (Sarah Sokolovic), in the previous episode.
Although Sutton does have confidential CIA documents that she was able to hack, she doesn't have the answers that Carrie needed, and so based on the trailer, it seems that Carrie will have to resort to contacting Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin).
As everyone knows, Saul is a long shot, but Carrie might be holding feelings back into a corner at this point. The 44-second promotional video shows that Saul is less than interested in helping Carrie, and even orders a sweep of their supposed meet-up place to find her.
While Carrie will be busy trying to find the answers, Peter will be getting worse by the minute and it seems that he will fall into the hands of the wrong people.
Peter who was left into the hands of Jonas, Carrie's boyfriend, will end up escaping. As he falls into a river, he is saved by a group of unknown group of men. Peter wakes up and questions why these men had decided to help him, only to get a reply less than welcome as their Russian accent becomes clearer to Peter.
Fans await to see the Russian connection to Peter and Carrie in the next episode of "Homeland."
