'Homeland' Season 5 Spoilers – Carrie and Jonas Are Torn Apart, Quinn In More Trouble
"Homeland" Season 5 is now getting into the thick of action as all its main characters are mired in their own troubles. Peter Quinn was very nearly dying at the end of the previous episode. Will he survive? Carrie and Jonas are torn apart with the crisis while Allison seems to be in trouble with Dar Adal.
Last week's episode of "Homeland" Season 5 had a very badly injured Quinn refusing medical help as this would lead to Carrie being caught. But this worsens Quinn's condition and a desperate Carrie turns to Jonas for help, pleading for him to bring in his sister, who is a doctor, to help Quinn. Jonas himself turns up with a medical bag to help Quinn.
Meanwhile, Carrie gets some news of the leaked CIA documents and in a move that seems rather selfish, she leaves Quinn and goes after the documents. Here Quinn is in a bad way and Jonas tells him that he will have to be hospitalized or he will die. Quinn escapes and the episode concluded with a strange man trying to save Quinn.
The official synopsis of the episode states - "Saul orders a sweep at the station. Carrie looks to Düring for support."
Two promos of this episode has been released. One promo shows Quinn as being saved by the strange man who has now presumably brought Quinn to some safe place. Quinn seems thankful to this man and says, "You picked me off of the streets and gave me your blood," to which the man says he was "pleased" to help him.
In the next shot a different man along with some others tells Quinn, "You are an American. A spy!" It does look like the strange man had some ulterior motive in helping Quinn. Maybe these thugs want to trade him in as an American Spy is a precious asset.
Other shots of the promo indicate things going sour between Carrie and Saul. Dar Adal seems furious with Allison. Has he discovered that Allison is in cahoots with the Russians?
Carrie is seen telling Saul that she was the target during Otto During's Lebanon ambush. When Saul asks her why they want her dead, Carrie says it could be that they do not want her to see the leaked CIA documents. Carrie then asks for Saul to give her the documents but Saul doesn't and he walks away. Saul then orders "a sweep at the station" which could reveal something surprising!
With Quinn missing and Saul turning away, Carrie has no choice but to ask her employer, During, for help. Will he help her? Is he to be trusted?
In another promo, Jonas is terribly upset with what Carrie has done. He cannot get over the fact that Carrie just vanished, leaving Quinn to die. He tells her to come with him and go to the authorities. Carrie does not go with Jonas.
"Homeland" Season 5, episode 6 will air this Sunday, Nov. 8, at 9 p.m. EST on Showtime
