'Homeland' Season 6 Episode 12: Keane's Time Is Up
The mercenaries are closing in on President Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) in the upcoming episode of "Homeland."
In the episode titled "America First," the promo reveals Keane fleeing for her life as the people who want to kill her breach the security in the White House. Carrie (Claire Danes) is there to help, but they will soon realize there is no way out. They are shown trapped in an elevator. Carrie tells her the mercenaries are jamming the signal and that they have entered the kill zone. Keane looks ready to weep, but she tries to present a strong front to Carrie. When they eventually exit the lift, a man holding a gun greets them. Is he an ally?
Meanwhile, it has become evident that the government thinks Quinn (Rupert Friend) is that one who wants to assassinate the POTUS. In the clip, soldiers are monitoring Quinn's every move as he wanders around during a rally. They have a photo of the ex-CIA agent. One of the soldiers is on the phone, ordering his men to take Quinn out.
Elsewhere, Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) is having fun tormenting a U.S. senator. Right now, he is confident that Carrie, Keane and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) have lost their chance of bringing him down. With the POTUS receiving so much hate from the Americans, the agent believes it is only a matter of time until she gets kicked out of office.
Last episode, Keane agreed to appear in O'Keefe's (Jake Weber) show. Saul convinced her she should speak for herself in front of the media. The President accused O'Keefe of spreading false information about her. He previously said she should not have won the elections, adding that she did not deserve the position because she had used the sad story of her dead son to get the votes. Keane then revealed that she knew about O'Keefe's participation in the ad against her and warned him he was going down.
"Homeland" season 6 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT on Showtime.
