'Homeland' Season 6 Episode 8 Spoilers: Saul Enlists Carrie's Help Right After She Lost Franny
The upcoming episode of "Homeland" season 6 will see Saul (Mandy Patinkin) asking Carrie (Claire Danes) for help on the Mossad case.
According to the official synopsis of the eighth episode, titled "Alt.Truth," Carrie and Saul will team up to show President Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) some evidence. Meanwhile, Quinn (Rupert Friend) deals with a problem of his own as he "tracks a mark."
The synopsis definitely offers little insight into the episode ahead, keeping rather vague with the descriptions. However, a teaser trailer released may just provide a little more information on what is to come.
The trailer, which lasts for 30 seconds, starts out with a crying Carrie as she sits in bed with Franny's toys. Saul approaches her and apologizes for the ill-timing. However, he requires her assistance immediately.
Quinn, on the other hand, is paranoid that Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) is on his back. "Who else is here? Who did Dar Adal send?" he asks. Elsewhere, Saul reveals his discovery that Mossad "wasn't acting alone."
Meanwhile, here is a brief recap of the previous episode, titled "Imminent Risk."
After the incident with Franny and Quinn, Carrie was informed by Christine, a social worker, that Franny was going to be taken by child's services. Carrie showed up to family court with a lawyer in order to settle Franny's case. However, things did not turn out very well for her.
Christine revealed that Carrie was not acting like a good mother when she put Franny in danger because she allowed Quinn to stay at her house. She even recounted one of Franny's memories of discovering Carrie sleeping on the floor with a gun. And while Carrie tried to defend her actions, Christine presented enough testimonies and evidence--including the fact that Carrie has bipolar disorder--to have the judge rule in Christine's favor.
The ruling reduced Carrie to tears. Desperate and inebriated, she phoned Keane to ask her to do something about Franny's situation, but Keane declined. In the end, Christine was shown thanking Dar Adal on the phone for giving her all the information she needed against Carrie.
"Homeland" season 6 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime.
