Honey Boo Boo 'Endorses' Barack Obama

It's official. "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star Alana Thompson has given her support to President Barack Obama. The 7-year-old announced her decision on a recent episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

When Kimmel asked Thompson if she preferred Obama or his opponent Mitt Romney, Thompson quickly responded, "Barack Obama." It was an apparently easy choice for the little girl whose personality has taken the country by storm.

Of course, Thompson and her family have been rather outspoken about a number of things ever since appearing on "Toddlers & Tiaras," then moving on to their own show, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." The show trumped Republican Convention ratings, which surprised viewers unfamiliar with the at-home family.

Romney once told Kelly Ripa that he was not as much a fan of Honey Boo Boo as he was of the "Jersey Shore" star, Snooki.

"Yes, I'm kind of a Snooki fan," he admitted. "Look how tiny she's gotten. She's lost weight. She's energetic. Just her spark-plug personality is kind of fun."

Snooki has settled down, though, and is now using her energy in order to take care of her new son, Lorenzo. Meanwhile, Honey Boo Boo has been celebrating around the world with her family and was recently signed for a second season of TLC's hit show. And according to Radar Online, the entire Thompson-Shannon family will appear on a Christmas special in December.

Honey Boo Boo's "endorsement" comes ahead of the second debate between Obama and Romney. The two will square off in a town-hall style debate, where the questions will come from audience members, not just a moderator. It will certainly be interesting to see if any questions about pop culture, including Honey Boo Boo or Snooki, are asked during the debate.

The debate will air on most networks at 9:00 p.m. ET.
