'Horizon Zero Dawn' News: Patch 1.03 and New Hotfix Released, Find Out Which Issues Are Addressed

Newly released Patch 1.03 focused on addressing progression issues and crashes previously seen inside 'Horizon Zero Dawn'

Two new downloadables were released recently for "Horizon Zero Dawn" in the form of Patch 1.03 and a new hotfix.

Starting off with the patch, as developers noted over on Reddit, this one is all about fixing progression issues that have previously been observed inside the game as well as some other crashes that players have had to deal with before.

Among the progression issues addressed is one that could previously lead to the quest icon showing an incorrect quest as players were shifting their focus from the "Gift from the Past" to the "Point of the Spear."

Another progression issue fixed by Patch 1.03 ensures that Erend will show up during "The City of the Sun."

There are also different gameplay bugs that have been eliminated by the latest patch released for "Horizon Zero Dawn."

For instance, it will now no longer be possible for Aloy to ride on top of machines while she still has a heavy weapon equipped.

Tracks should work better inside the game as well as they will now be highlighted properly as players stumble upon them.

The loading screen should no longer be problematic as well after this patch is applied.

One more issue that could lead to a specific quest being spoiled has also been addressed by the developers in this patch.

Game crashes that could occur during certain quests have been eliminated too.

As for the new hotfix, developers detailed what it does in a separate post on Reddit.

This hotfix will significantly lower the damage reduction of the Carja Storm Hunter outfit. The Thunderjaw Disc Launcher will also feature fewer discs once this hotfix has been installed.

The changes included in the hotfix are ones designed to better balance gameplay.

More details about other bugs and gameplay issues that may be addressed by future patches and hotfixes should be made available soon.
