'Horizon Zero Dawn' News: 'The Frozen Wilds' Is Going To Be a Substantial Expansion
Players can expect the expansion to provide several hours of additional gameplay
"Horizon Zero Dawn" has won fans over by being the kind of single-player offering that can stand out in this era of multiplayer-focused games.
The game has provided fans with hours upon hours of content to enjoy, a brave and charming protagonist to follow and a rich storyline to unravel.
Given how well fans and critics alike have received the game, it should come as no surprise that "The Frozen Wilds" expansion set to be released for it has been drawing some headlines as well, and with good reason.
From what has been revealed of "The Frozen Wilds" expansion thus far, it seems like the developers over at Guerrilla Games have done what they can to deliver something of substance that can ideally top off the entire "Horizon Zero Dawn" experience.
Recently, some folks from the Daily Star Online were able to enjoy an early look at "The Frozen Wilds" courtesy of the developers.
Some interesting details about the expansion emerged from that visit by the Daily Star Online, such as the revelation that this soon-to-be released add-on is expected to provide "at least 15 hours of additional content."
Furthermore, the expansion will also give players some new sidequests to face if they want to take a break from the main narrative.
There is also a new skill tree included in the expansion that is expected to grant access to abilities players will be able to use while mounted.
Speaking previously to OPM UK, lead quest designer David Ford also confirmed that there will be more weapons introduced via the expansion, WCCF Tech reported.
Some of these weapons are upgraded versions of ones that players may have already used before. However, there are also entirely new additions coming to the game.
"The Frozen Wilds" is shaping up to be a pretty jam-packed expansion, and "Horizon Zero Dawn" players will be able to start going through it as soon as it is released on Nov. 7.
