'Horizon Zero Dawn' Rumors: Listing for Game of the Year Edition Surfaces Online, December Release Date Included

Rumored Game of the Year Edition of 'Horizon Zero Dawn' could include 'The Frozen Wilds' DLC

"Horizon Zero Dawn" is regarded by many as one of the best games of this year, and it has also been described as a must-have title for PlayStation 4 owners.

Well, for those who have not gotten it yet but are interested in doing so, there appears to be some good news.

Twitter user "@Wario64" posts a lot about video games, and one of his newer tweets has caught the attention of many folks online. The tweet in question featured a screenshot of a video game listing.

To be more specific, the screenshot showed a listing of a Game of the Year Edition of "Horizon Zero Dawn" that is apparently due out on Dec. 5. The Twitter user noted that the listing was put up by Play-Asia.

It now appears that the listing has been taken down, however.

Developers have not made any announcement related to a special edition of the aforementioned title being released, but it would not really be that surprising if they eventually did.

As noted earlier, the action role-playing game starring protagonist Aloy has proven to be both a commercial and critical hit, and developers may want to capitalize on all the attention the game is still getting.

On top of that, there is also a new expansion due out for the game known as "The Frozen Wilds." Fans who already have the game can just get "The Frozen Wilds" for $19.99 when it is released on Nov. 7, but those who do not own the PS4 exclusive may be enticed to get the rumored Game of the Year Edition if it contains the new expansion.

For now, the Game of the Year Edition remains unconfirmed, but with the folks from PlayStation set to make some big announcements during Paris Games Week later this month, it may not be long before the rumored variant is made official.

More news about "Horizon Zero Dawn" should be made available soon.
