'Hotel Transylvania 2:' Sequel has proven to be funnier than its original film!

Most people often find sequels way inferior than their original films, but "Hotel Transylvania 2" has proven that a sequel can be better!

The second movie is much funnier and more colorful than its first film, and the movie is expected to top this weekend's box office, according to Variety.

Although there was nothing wrong — or particularly right — with the first film in 2012, moviegoers just were not satisfied with only a series of "lightweight jokes." The only thing that stood out in the first film was Dracula's (Adam Sandler) overprotectiveness of his daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez), who fell in love with a human.

Now that the new movie is out, fans can expect much funnier antics from "vampa" (vampire grandpa) Dracula. In "Hotel Transylvania 2," everyone is awaiting if Dennis (Asher Blinkoff) will turn out to be like his mom, who is a vampire, or be more human like his father, Jonathan (Andy Samberg). Dracula plans to force the monster out of Dennis, because it will be too late for the half-vampire, half-human if he still did not get his fangs by the time he turns five.

According to Lexington Herald, the second film works out better this time than the original film because it equally divided the lives of the characters between the human and the monster world. The script is written smartly this time by Robert Smigel and Adam Sandler, and it blends some funny slapstick jokes "with some equally smart references for horror film fan aficionados."

Genndy Tartakovsky kicked up the energy of the movie with his direction. Viewers will see an added layer of comedy, since Tartakovsky has placed well-hidden funny materials in the background. Fans might miss those in a single viewing, so they definitely have to watch out closely for these added elements in the movie.

"Hotel Transylvania 2" is set to premiere this Friday, Sept. 25, in theaters worldwide.
