'Hottest Doctor Alive' Dr. Mike Confirms He Is Dating Miss Universe

Sad news for girls out there fantasizing about People magazine's "Sexiest Doctor Alive," Dr. Mikhail Varshavski, or simply known as Dr. Mike. After the speculations that he and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach are dating, the doctor finally confirmed that, well, the rumors are true after all.

In his interview with Wonderwall, Varshavski said that he and the 26-year old beauty queen from the Philippines are, indeed, playing sweet music together.

"I am dating Pia. It's a fairly new relationship but I'm really excited to see where it can go!" the Russian-born doctor said.

Rumors about the two dating started surfacing last month when the doctor posted on his Instagram account a photo of him along with Wurtzbach. The speculations that the two were heading into a romance was bolstered when Wurtzbach also uploaded on her Twitter account a photo of her with the doctor after their gym boxing session together.

However, despite the tell-tale signs of a budding romance between the two, Wurtzbach maintained that there was no special guy in her life, and she is focused on carrying out the responsibilities that come with her Miss Universe sash and crown. In fact, during a live Facebook interview last week, the most controversial Miss Universe winner ever squashed the rumors by saying:

"No. There's no specific someone in my life. This is the specific someone. This is the priority," as she flashed her Miss Universe sash on her computer camera.

However, there are allegations that this is not the first time for Varshavski to date a beauty queen. Pageant fanatics point out that, at one point, the doctor also dated a former beauty queen in the person of Cynthia Olavarría, Miss Puerto Rico 2005 and Miss Universe 2005 first runner-up.

Wurtzbach is considered the most controversial Miss Universe winner ever after she was mistakenly announced as the runner up by host Steve Harvey on live TV when, in fact, she was the real winner.
