In their earlier meeting, the Rockets and Pistons battled at The Palace of Auburn Hills, with the Pistons getting a big 116-105 victory.
Detroit led early after outscoring the Rockets 29-21 in the first quarter but blew the game wide open with a 35-point second quarter to push the lead to double digits.
The Rockets bounced back and trimmed the lead to 11 at the end of the fourth quarter but could not find stops as the Pistons rolled on to a victory.
Reggie Jackson had 31 points, five rebounds and eight assists for Detroit, while James Harden led the way for Houston with 29 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
