Despite playing a decent game, where they were 48 percent from the field and 47 percent from beyond the arc, their defense showed their weakness as they could not stop Kyrie Irving from scoring 33 points while shooting 12-of-15 from the field.

The Magic are also missing three guards who are important in their rotation as Evan Fournier is still listed as day-to-day following a hip injury he suffered late in February. Devyn Marble recently had an eye surgery and is out indefinitely, while Willie Green is recovering from a knock on his back.

Meanwhile, the Rockets ended their two-game losing streak with a 100-98 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

James Harden added to his MVP-type year with a 34-point, seven-rebound and seven-assist output. While Trevor Ariza added 19 points and nine rebounds in the victory.

The Rockets hold a 44-22 record, good enough for fourth in the West – with the win extending their lead over the San Antonio Spurs by 2.5 games.

Kostas Papanikolaou has been sidelined since late February due to an ankle injury and is still listed as day-to-day. Dwight Howard is making his recovery from a knee injury and is slated to return later this month.

Despite the disparities in their records, their first meeting this season ended in a 120-113 win for the Magic. In that match, Oladipo exploded for 32 points while shooting 63 percent from the field.

Harden and Howard combined for 49 points for the Rockets but with only eight players in the rotation at the time, they simply ran out of gas.
