As it stands, the rockets are third in the West with a 50-23 record and have secured a spot in the post-season.

Meanwhile, the Raptors are fourth in the East with a 43-30 record but have only won two of their last five matches. They lost big to the Chicago Bulls twice while also dropping a close game to the Detroit Pistons. Their two wins have come against the struggling New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers.

Jonas Valanciunas was a big force in the win over the Lakers, scoring 19 points while converting 67 percent of his shots from the field. Louis Williams also scored 18 in the win, picking up the slack for the struggling DeMar DeRozan who only shot 1-of-10 from the field. However, the high-flying guard made up by pulling down 10 rebounds in 41 minutes.

In their earlier meeting, the Rockets ran away with a 98-76 win at the Toyota Center. Corey Brewer led the way for the Rockets as he scored 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds off the bench. James Johnson was the best performer for the rockets with 27 points as the Raptors were dominated on the boards with a difference of 52-39.
