'How to Get Away With Murder' Season 2 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Matt McGorry Teases Details About Asher

Fans of the hit legal drama TV series from ABC, "How to Get Away With Murder" should expect to see some changes on Matt McGorry's "comedic relief" character when the second season of the show hits the small screen.

McGorry recently spoke about how the relationship Asher shared with the people around him influenced his growth.

"Yeah, I think so. I think it's inevitable. I think if he continues to deal, continues with his relationship with Bonnie, he's going to be forced to grow. One part of it is being exposed to people he'd never really gotten to know before. I highly doubt that in his life, he had a gay character, like Connor, in his inner-circle. The actor, meanwhile, shares his insights and experience playing as one of Annalise's (Viola Davis) students.

"I have a lot of fun playing Asher, being comedic relief. In general, it's something in life that I like to try and do, bring humor to everyday situations," he said. "If anything, I'd say that my not wanting to take over a situation or not wanting to force my humor on people probably limits how much I try to inject my humor into situations."

"Being the comedic relief, I have carte blanche to really go after it, which is incredibly enjoyable. My job, every day, or at least part of it is to make people laugh, and I think that's something that I've always really enjoyed doing, not only in performance, but in my life, and I think having the opportunity to have that as a purpose is pretty incredible," McGorry continued.

"How to Get Away with Murder" Season 2 is slated to premiere Sept. 24, at 10 p.m. on ABC.
