'How to Get Away With Murder' News, Update: Series Stars Talks About An 'Explosive' Season 2 Premiere In An Interview
The highly-anticipated second season of ABC's hit drama series "How to Get Away With Murder" is now only a day away from kicking off and fans can't wait for more gripping storylines that would involve their favorite characters like Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and her Keating 5.
Finally, one of the greatest questions left in Season 1, which is the real identity of Rebecca's (Katie Findlay) killer, can now be revealed in the season opener titled "It's Time to Move On."
Confirming the details are none other than the show's beloved cast members who recently sat down with ABC13.com for an interview. Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, and Matt McGorry, who plays Connor Walsh, Michaela Pratt and Asher Misstone respectively, expressed their enthusiasm for the Season 2 premiere with the network's correspondent, Jennifer Matarese.
King started off by telling Matarese that like any episode of the Shonda Rhimes-exec produced show, the primer will be an "explosive" one and fans should better brace themselves as the events "will jump right in" to the heart of the matter.
There will also be some cleaning up from the mess of Season 1, McGorry chimed in.
"We do find out who killed Rebecca in the first episode this Thursday, so that's exciting," the "Orange is the New Black" star teased.
The cast members however noted that with something getting tied up, another end of the string comes loose, suggesting that fans are in for another round of a "roller coaster" ride this season.
And one of these unhinging issues would involve the relationship of the professor with her students.
McGorry explained that after all the controversies, mysteries, and murders, the students will start to talk among themselves if they can trust the law teacher despite her taking care of them.
"…there's a lot of fear," the actor said. "At the end of the day, we are sort of underneath Annalise's thumb."
King added that the issue of trust and betrayal won't only involve their teacher but would also be a concern among themselves; a plot that she teased will be explored deeper this season.
Don't miss the return of "How to Get Away With Murder" this Thursday, Sept. 24, on ABC.
