'How to Get Away with Murder' season 2 news, cast, and spoilers: A domino effect of consequences for the actions and more murders to follow

The first season of "How to Get Away with Murder" was definitely strong, as each episode was able to maintain the excitement all throughout the season's run. However, it only seems to become more riveting as the second season is almost here.

Season 2 will apparently focus more on the consequences of the main cast's actions. As viewers of the show know that Professor Annalise Keating played by Viola Davis, along with Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch), Connor Walks (jack Falahee), Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King), Laurel Castillo (Karla), and Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber), has been involved in the crime of Sam Keating, who killed Lila Stangard. In the finale of the first season, the death of Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay) now seems to also fall in the hands of the group.

IBT reports that showrunner Pete Nowak told Hollywood Reporter that "It doesn't go away. Just like anything in our show, I don't want anything to be forgotten. Just like Sam's murder, Lila's murder — yes they're dead, but the consequences of that continue to reverberate. The same is going to happen with Rebecca. Some people will know she's dead; some people will know who killed her; some people will think she's missing. She plays a big part in season two, even though she's dead."

Another plot brewing would be the probable death of Dr. Hannah Keating, Sam Keating's sister and played by Marcia Gay Harden. In the previous season, fans saw the head-to-head clash of Annalise and Hannah. It has already been implied as well that Frank was willing to take care of Hannah, since she doesn't seem to have any plans of stopping until she uncovers the truth. However, there isn't any confirmation about this.

The second season of How to Get Away with Murder will start on Sept. 24, 10 p.m. on ABC, with the premier episode titled "It's Time to Move On."
