'How to Get Away With Murder' season 2 news, cast, spoilers: Rebecca's killer steps up
The return of "How to Get Away With Murder" had been much anticipated by many. After all the hints dropped about what to expect, no one could have prepared viewers on what they witnessed last night when season 2 premiered.
As promised, the biggest cliff-hanger of season 1 had finally been revealed — the killer of Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay). The person behind the murder was apparently none other than Bonne (Liza Weil). She had put a plastic bag over her head and suffocated her. People aren't exactly surprised that Bonnie would do such a thing, but then again, she was probably never on the top list. Weil recently had an interview with Variety Magazine and talked about what had motivated her character to take such drastic measures, "I think she is really operating from a place of, 'This person is problem and can take us all down and can cause trouble.'"
She shared that whatever Bonnie had done was simply out of loyalty for Annalise (Viola Davis), and though Annalise may have not exactly been happy with how Bonnie proved herself to her, it will still inevitably change their relationship once again. Weil further added, "It's really interesting. The thing that's so great about our writers is that so many of these relationships can shift from episode to episode, so I think that Annalise has a very intense reaction. The relationship between Annalise and Bonnie is going to sort of re-evaluated over the course of the season, but also, there's a great element that Bonnie so desperately wanted to be back in the fold because last season with Frank really being her primary person and Bonnie so desperately wants to be primary, so she's sort of doing everything she can to prove herself, but it's going to go back forth and their relationship will be re-evaluated over the season."
Following this, Wes (Alfred Enoch) is going to start to be suspicious. His course throughout the season is all about figuring where Rebecca went to. Other notable moments included Famke Jannsen, who had debuted in the premiere as Nate's (Billy Brown) lawyer, as referred to by Annalise, and the biggest cliff-hanger of the episode is Annalise seemingly lifeless after being shot.
Things are about to definitely get more intense as season 2 of "How to Get Away With Murder" airs every Thursday on ABC.
