'How to Get Away with Murder' season 2 news, cast, spoilers: Story lines that need to be further explored in the new season
"How to Get Away with Murder" had a very successful first season. Introducing a gripping main story line made fans want for more with each episode. The intense confrontations between the main characters, as well as unbelievable cases that Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and the Keating 5 successfully overcome, made everyone wonder what more the second season can bring.
Although the main question that everyone has been pondering on since the season 1 finale is who killed Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay), and this seems to be overshadowing the other plotlines brewing. These plotlines can further affect the characters' dynamics and the decisions they will make. They could also post threats considering that all the characters are now tied together by the dark secret they share — killing Sam.
The unexplored plotlines would mostly revolve around the relationships of the characters. First of it being Frank and Annalise's relationship. Frank's loyalty is unmistakable; however, it hasn't been fully disclosed as to what bound Frank to Annalise. It has been implied that Frank might have had former feelings for Annalise and perhaps even had an affair, as Hollywood Reporter assumes. Speaking of loyalty, Bonnie's strained relationship with Annalise would also be in focus, so it might also show the history of the two and what made them close as they are, before their bumpy friendship.

Aside from Annalise, another character who will have major developments in his life would be Conrad (Jack Falahee) after he finds out that his lover Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) is now HIV positive. Knowing Conrad's character, his fight-or-flight response intensely leans on fleeing the relationship; however, he might surprise fans and push through with what he has with Oliver right now. Lastly, a story line that materialized from theories is Rebecca having a twin. In the last season, Rebecca sent an SOS to someone after realizing that she might be in danger. However, there hasn't been any concrete evidence about this; however, it hasn't stopped fans from hoping that it could be true as it can potentially heighten the excitement.
For now, fans await the return of How to Get Away with Murder as season 2 is set to premiere this week on Sept. 24, Thursday, on ABC.
