'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 3 News: Love Triangle Between Bonnie, Asher, Michaela on the Spotlight
A New Love Triangle in Season 3 Heats Up
After a traumatic season, the upcoming episodes of "How To Get Away With Murder" could continue playing with audience's emotions. Recent teasers for the season hinted that there could soon be a love triangle when the series returns.
Asher as the Center Of Attention
The showrunner of "How To Get Away With Murder" Pete Nowalk hinted that the upcoming season could explore the love life of Asher (Matt McGorry). The previous season shed some light on his relationship with Bonnie (Liza Weil). In addition, it also showed Asher and Michaela (Aja Naomi King) getting together during the "HTGAWM" Season 2 finale.
Nowalk says that Season 3 will show a love triangle between the three characters. He told TV Line, "In many ways, Asher is a really good boyfriend, and I think he's probably a generous lover. He doesn't seem to hide his emotions, and I think he really loves women and is affectionate. It makes a lot of sense that he would be a security blanket."
Michaela's Relationship Problems
Nowalk explained that Michaela's choice to get with Asher is due to her grief over with Caleb. He said, "I think it's fun. I really understand how these young people who have been living in a powder keg would grasp at each other. Michaela is going to have to deal with the fact that she just found out another guy she trusted, Caleb, was a crazy, freaking sociopath, so it makes sense to me why she might want to just choose the simple guy who's right in front of her."
However, things may take an unexpected turn for Michaela, since Asher also has commitment issues. With that, there might be some tension between the two when "How To Get Away With Murder" returns. Bonnie will also be faced with a challenge when she finds out about Asher and Michaela kissing. Nowalk hinted that though she may seem tough, she may not be mentally prepared for the realization.
"How To Get Away With Murder" Season 3 airs later this fall.
