'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 3 Spoilers: Annalise Back with Her Career

The return of "How To Get Away With Murder" could be going back to its roots.

A recent report by TV Line showed the show's executive producer Pete Nowalk discussing his plans for the third season of "How To Get Away With Murder." He explained that he hopes to see Annalise, played by Viola Davis, bringing weekly cases to her class once again.

The premiere season of "How To Get Away With Murder" showed Annalise presenting different cases to her students each week. However, the second season presented a different format due to the storyline that was explored.

However, Nowalk explained that fans could see more focus on Annalise's career once again. He said, "I love watching Annalise do her job in any way. She loves her job, and I don't think she's the same person if she's not doing it. So, whether that's case of the week or case of the season, seeing her at work is what I care about."

With that, fans are wondering if the series will bring a new set of students to take on Annalise's class. In a previous interview with TV Line, Nowalk explained that it was something that they had thought and were open to.

However, it seems like they will most likely stick with the current group, called the Keating Five. Nowalk stated that he does not see the point of involving a new set of students in Annalise's life.

He said, "I just don't want it to feel like we're making a show that's got a formula: 'Here's a new crop of students, and they're going to murder someone else!' Yes, the show is outrageous and we do over-the-top things, but these [existing] characters are bonded for life."

"How To Get Away With Murder" Season 3 is expected to return on ABC later this year.
