'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 4 Spoilers: Keating Four Want to Cut Ties with Annalise?

Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) will set her first meeting with the Keating Four after Wes' (Alfred Enoch) death in the upcoming season of "How to Get Away with Murder."

The promo released for the new installment shows the professor in a tense reunion with her students. Everyone seems to be unwilling to be there as they just want to move on with their lives and forget their traumatic experience when Wes was found dead. In the clip, Michaela (Aja Naomi King) is telling her boyfriend, Asher (Matt McGorry), that Annalise is forcing them to attend the dinner she calls "the last supper." Connor Walsh (Jack Fallahee), on the other hand, will not waste time with small talk. He will directly ask their mentor for the reason for the reunion.

Meanwhile, it has been teased that Laurel (Karla Souza) is the only one who wants to continue on with the investigation of her boyfriend's murder. Even Annalise will reach a stage where she is willing to forget the past and start again. Only Laurel is determined to find Wes' killer, but how will she react once she discovers the truth that her father is the culprit? It was Jorge (Esai Morales) who sent Dominic (Nicholas Gonzalez) to end Wes' life that night. The revelation is expected to be one of the highlights in season 4. Similarly, more details are expected to be revealed about Laurel's family.

The Castillos have remained in the background in all of the past three installments of the ABC series, and executive producer Peter Nowalk said that it was time to expose their backstory. Viewers will finally learn why Jorge wanted to kill someone like Wes, when they appeared to not know each other personally. Laurel's relationship with Dominic will also be discussed. There are speculations that they were once romantically involved.

"This is the perfect way to reveal more of where [Laurel] comes from," Nowalk told TVLine. "It will make a lot of sense why he ordered Wes to be killed. It's fun to dig more into what Laurel's backstory is and create a mystery around her family."

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 4 will air on Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
