Mobile Social Quiz Game Trivia Crak is One of Top Downloaded Apps Worldwide

Trivia Crack is considered to be one of the most downloaded mobile apps in the world.

Trivia Crack has been dominating the top downloaded app charts of the US and Latin America since 2014. Both iOS and Android users download the social quiz app and it has been on the Google Play and Apple App Store for a record 66 days. How did developer Etermax make this game go viral?

Etermax Founder and CEO Maximo Cavazzani stated that Trivia Crack reached 200 million downloads organically. However, the problem with casual mobile games is that they won't last long among users, Venture Beat noted.

In their strategy of making Trivia Crack go viral is to present in-app purchases but have the game free for download. Most mobile app consumers have a mentality that internet content should be free because they are unaware that great content takes time, effort and money. Putting in-app purchases for "premium" features help in raking in profit. However, monetization strategy is a tricky matter and it may make or break in making a mobile app go viral.

How to Play Trivia Crack

Trivia Crack is a mobile quiz game that allows users to challenge against friends or other random users. Both players can play against one another in six categories including History, Sports, Entertainment, Art, Science, Geography and a section with a golden crown for a special category, according to the game's official website.

Three correct answers or spinning the wheel to the crown section will fill the Crown gauge. The player can either answer a new Crown question to get a new character or steal from the opposing player using the Challenge feature. If the Crown gauge is not full and the player answers wrongfully, the turn will be passed to the other player. The player who gets all six characters from the wheel wins the game. The maximum number of rounds is 25 but if no one acquires all six, the winnder will be determined by the player who has the most number of characters.

Trivia Crack Sequel and Third Installment

Since the launch of Trivia Crack, Etermax has rolled out the sequel called Trivia Crack Kingdoms, Time reported. The third installment Trivia Crack X has been released in spring this year. Both games can be downloaded on the Android and iOS.
