Howard Stern and his emotional exit from 'America's Got Talent'

On Wednesday, Howard Stern ended his four seasons with one of the most watched shows worldwide, "America's Got Talent" (AGT).

The show dedicated a segment to one of the favorite judges of all time, and in a video, he appears to be walking around New York City, looking back on the things he experienced, and sharing what he loved most about his role as a judge.

The 61-year-old said, "If I had any dream about this, it's that I could take someone who was struggling and seriously give advice." He also shared how he had a strong connection to contestants who shared the same story with him, recalling how he was told multiple times in the past that he had no talent.

Stern went on to reminisce his college days in the radio program with no one rooting for him, adding that as a kid, if someone told him that he would be on live TV, he would never have believed such prediction.

Another part of the video showed the New-York native interacting with fans, with some saying they were "sorry to see [him] go," after learning that he would be ending his four-season run.

According to People, Stern also said he felt "really fortunate" to be able to bring the show to New York, noting that the city speaks a lot about him not just as a host but as a person.

The senior AGT judge has announced his departure in June on his radio show, saying he struggled with the decision since he has been caught between realizing that he has been working for a long time now and his "phenomenal" experience with the show and the people.

Although the radio legend has bid the show good-bye, he credits his new fanbase to his latest stint, referring to "funny" moments when parents have their kids take a picture with him when he goes to a restaurant.

Stern is also a producer, author, actor, and photographer, but he is widely known for his radio show "The Howard Stern Show," which has been airing on Sirius XM Radio since January 2006.
