HP Elite X3 – Powerful Enough To Replace Your PC

HP, after being absent in the smartphone business for some time, is making quite a splash with its new Windows-powered smartphone, the HP Elite X3. The new Windows phone is packed with specs and comes with accessories that power users will love, powerful enough to replace one's PC or laptop.

According to a CNET report, HP's smartphone release this year is one that is targeted for business customers, with HP claiming that it is powerful enough to replace a laptop or a personal computer. With its Windows 10 mobile OS, the device is easy enough to use within the Windows ecosystem, and with support for Continuum, it allows the device to be connected to an external display thereby transforming it into a computer.

The device's transformability is dependent on two important accessories, the HP Desk Dock and the HP Mobile Extender. The dock has ports for HDMI, USB and Ethernet and allows users to connect the phone to an external display such as an LED screen, and to other input devices such as a mouse and a keyboard. The Mobile Extender, according to the report, allows for "a more portable experience," transforming the phone into a laptop but without any of the laptop components.
