HTC 11 Rumored to Get New Name
It looks like HTC's next flagship is already on its way. The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer posted a recent update on its Facebook account, hinting that a new smartphone is set to arrive soon. News media sources claim that the new smartphone could be the highly anticipated HTC 11.
After its series of smartphones failed to make their mark in the market, introducing the HTC 10 proved to be one of the best moves from the Taiwanese company. The success of the HTC 10 was so massive that it has made tech enthusiasts look forward to its successor, the HTC 11.
Recent rumors suggest that HTC 10's successor will be unveiled around the same time as when the HTC 10 was unveiled last year. Previous reports claimed that a March 20 release date would be a suitable launch day for the HTC 11, considering that HTC's previous flagships were also launched around the same time. However, it has been days since the said released date and HTC has still not launched its new flagship.

According to reports, HTC is now planning to rename the HTC 11 so that it suits HTC's virtual reality (VR) franchise, Vive. The HTC 11 will allegedly be renamed as the HTC U Vive. It is also rumored to come with at least 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and will sport Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835. There are rumors that the launch of the HTC 11 has been delayed since the Snapdragon 835 is currently exclusive to Samsung Galaxy S8.
As for its other specs, rumor has it that the upcoming smartphone will have a maximum of 256 GB storage, expanded from its default storage of 32 GB and 64 GB. It will also reportedly sport a 12-megapixel (MP) rear camera and an 8-MP front camera. Its battery is said to be at 3,700 mAh and its 5.5-inch display will have a 1440 x 2560-pixel resolution.
HTC has yet to announce the official release date of the HTC 11.
