HTC One M10 Release Rumors: HTC To Launch Two Smartphones in Early 2016
The HTC One M10 will be one of the two smartphones that the Taiwanese tech firm will be releasing in early 2016, the latest rumors say.
HTC is rumored to be planning a product release in the first quarter of 2016. The Taiwanese company is planning to release the HTC One M10 and HTC One X9 early next year, according to the International Business Times.
Rumors about the HTC One M10 proliferated after fans were disappointed with the HTC One M9, which was unveiled earlier this year. The Taiwanese firm may be working to release another flagship phone fast to compensate for the dismal sales of the M9, which failed to live up to the expectations of the consumers, Master Herald reports.
HTC Leaker @LlabTooFer said on Twitter that the One X9 will definitely be released in the first quarter of 2016. In addition, he mentioned that the One M10 will come out two or three months after that, the report relays.
Some of the rumored specs and features of the HTC One M10 include a 27-megapixel camera, fingerprint scanner, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB or 128 GB of expandable internal storage, and dual BoomSound speakers. The upcoming flagship device will also run on the Snapdragon 820 chip and will be powered by a 3,500 mAh battery, the report details.
In addition, the HTC One M10's Quad HD display will have a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixel. The new HTC phone is expected to be a breakthrough because it boasts of several specs and features that will be incorporated in a flagship device for the first time.
It is worth noting that the HTC One M10 might not be the device's final name because it could be branded simply as HTC O2, Chinese website MyDrivers says. It remains unclear if the Taiwanese gadget maker will start to do away with the One M lineup.
So far, the rumors about the HTC One M10 remain unconfirmed. The firm is expected to unveil more details about its next flagship device in the coming months.
