HTC One Max Verizon Model Spotted in the Wild, Release Date Coming Soon
The HTC One Max still has not been officially confirmed by the smartphone maker, but various photo leaks point to its existence and imminent release date.
A new set of pictures surfaced this week that show this same larger handset previously seen in the leaks. They link phablet directly to Verizon.
They were posted by a Big Red retail store employee in New Jersey that reportedly has access to the device, according to an Android Central forum user. The images show that the HTC One Max is significantly larger than the One model and also display the Verizon logo in the place where the company's normally is found.

The photos did not reveal that much more information aside from the logo and size, but the rep did claim that there is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the handset and that the back cover is removable.
The fingerprint sensor has been seen in previous photo leaks that originated on the Chinese social network Weibo.
The device was also recently discovered on the GCF listing this week proving that its release date should be soon.
The GCF, or Global Certification Forum functions as an independent certification scheme for mobile phones and wireless devices that are based on 3GPP standards.
This approval for the HTC One Max points to the device supporting SIM lock, however, it does not mean that it will be SIM-locked in all markets it is sold in.
The device will pack quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE giving it support to triband UTMS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900MHz, 1900MHz and 2100 MHz. It will also offer connectivity to triband LTE at 800MHz, 1800MHz and 2600 MHz which are also known as LTE bands 3, 7 and 20.
