HTC U11 Life Specs, Release Date: New Leak Reveals Key Features
Just days before the purported release of the highly anticipated HTC U11 Life, a brand-new leak has uncovered details about the specs and features of the device.
This new leak comes in the form of a listing on Geekbench, in which the upcoming handset went through a benchmark test.
The leak matches up with the reports at least when it comes to the 3 GB of random-access memory (RAM) that the HTC U11 Life will have. However, it was listed to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor as opposed to the Snapdragon 630 chipset that previous reports suggested.
The handset tested by Geekbench was running Android 7.1.1 Nougat although past leaks show that it will come with the much newer Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
The HTC U11 Life scored 858 points in the single-core test on the benchmark while it garnered 4136 points in the multiscore test, which is already quite impressive with the hardware it comes in.
Older reports also reveal that the HTC midranger will come with a 5.2-inch display while the imaging department will be made up of a 16 MP shooter on the back and another 16 MP snapper on the front. Finally, it is expected to house a 2,600-mAh battery.
With regard to the design of the smartphone, the HTC U11 Life is reportedly ditching the 3.5-mm headphone jack but will still have chunky bezels at least compared to latest releases such as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 as well as the LG V30 and the Apple iPhone X among many others. However, such design trend is expected to mostly be exclusive to top-of-the-line handsets as opposed to midrange ones.
The HTC U11 Life is expected to be made official on Nov. 2. Another device expected from the company is the higher-end HTC U11 Plus, an upgraded version of the flagship, HTC U11.
