Huawei Honor 4A Specs, Release Date: New Budget Android Phone Combines Cheap Price, Decent Specs

Huawei has just unveiled that it managed to sell more than 48 million devices in the first half of 2015, and now the smartphone maker has unveiled a brand new device that is aimed at the mass market.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Chinese manufacturer has recently announced a new budget phone. Dubbed as the Huawei Honor 4A, the device packs a bit of a mix of decent and disappointing specs.

In the report, the device boasts a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution and Android 5.1 Lollipop skinned by Huawei's own Emotion UI 3.1. Other impressive specs and features include a 2GB of RAM, 2,200mAh battery, an 8MP primary camera and a 2MP front shooter.

Unfortunately, Huawei needed to keep other specs low in order to keep the price down. Some of the more disappointing specs include a quad-core CPU that only runs at 1.1GHz, as well as Snapdragon 210 chipset.

In the report, the Huawei Honor 4A will come in two versions, the 3G only and the one that supports 4G LTE connectivity. The lower-end model reportedly costs CNY 599 or about $96, while the LTE version is priced at CNY 699 or around $112.

While the device will become available in China very soon, it is not yet clear whether the Huawei Honor 4A will hit other neighbouring markets in Asia soon.
