Huawei Mate 10 Lite Specs, Release Date: Flagship Launched in China Under Different Name, Four Cameras Showcased
The Huawei Mate 10 Lite has already been unveiled in China, but under a different name.
Yesterday, the tech firm took the covers off the Huawei Maimang 6 in their home fort. This device is expected to be rebranded as the Huawei Mate 10 Lite when it crosses the boarders next month.
As part of the Huawei Mate 10 series, the smartphone stands as the budget-friendly version with downscaled specs, but fans would not think that at first glance.
This is because the Huawei Mate 10 Lite will sport a 5.9-inch display that boasts 18:9 aspect ratio, which makes for a tall, good-looking front panel. The screen will boast 1,080 x 2,160-pixel resolution.
Apart from the sleek design, another one of the device's main attractions is the imaging department as it will have in tow a total of four cameras — two on the back and another two on the front.
On the rear of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, there is a 16 MP main sensor paired with another at 2 MP. For the user's selfie fix, they get a 13 MP and 2 MP combo on the front.
Under the hood, the Huawei offering has the Kirin 659 processor with eight cores clocked at 2.36GHz. It is paired with 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 64 GB of storage. On the back is a fingerprint sensor.
The Huawei Mate 10 Lite will have the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box furnished with the company's very own EMUI 5.1 skin. Keeping the lights on is a beefy 3,340 mAh battery.
The flagship will be available in three colors — Obsidian Black, Streamer Gold and Aurora Blue. It is already available for pre-order in China as the Maimang 6 and will hit the stores there on Sept. 30. It is priced at 2399 Yuan, which is around $364.
The Huawei Mate 10 Lite will them be unveiled along with the Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro in Munich on Oct. 16 with the expected availability set for November.
