Huawei Mate 10 Pro Specs, Release Date: Bezel-less Design, Leica Dual Cameras and More
The Huawei Mate 10 series is expected to be unveiled next month. This lineup includes a Pro version, which is expected to be the finest of the bunch.
According to GSM Arena, the handset will be the only one in the trio to boast a bezel-less front panel with an EntireView screen. It will apparently make use of a 5.9-inch active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display with quad high-definition (HD) resolution.
However, like the regular and Lite versions, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro will have the Hi-Silicon Kirin 970 processor under the hood. It will be bolstered by a hefty 6 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 64 to 128 GB of expandable storage.
The device touts a dual camera setup that consists of 20 MP and 12 MP sensors by Leica boasting f/1.6 aperture, an arrangement it shares with the regular Huawei Mate 10.
Due to its bezel-less design, the Pro version will have these snappers joined in the rear by a fingerprint scanner, which will be embedded on the home button on the front in the regular model.
As for the Huawei Mate 10 Lite, the device has the same setup as its higher-end siblings, save for its non-Leica cameras and full HD display.
Interestingly, another Huawei device showed up on the website of the Chinese certification agency TENAA. This handset comes with a hefty imaging package that includes two cameras on the back and another two on the front.
However, the respective second sensors are only at 2 MP, which has GSM Arena under the impression that this smartphone could either be the Huawei Mate 10 Lite or a Huawei Honor-branded offering. If it is the former, this suggests that it will receive more downgrades than expected.
Either way, fans will not have to wait that long to get the official details because the Huawei Mate 10 family is coming Oct. 16.
