Huawei Mate 10 Specs, Release Date: New Leak Lays Flagship Bare Ahead of Imminent Launch
Only a few days prior to the highly anticipated official unveiling of the Huawei Mate 10, more and more leaks of the handset have been emerging, painting a picture of a heavyweight of an offering.
A leak out of China reveals that the next-generation handset from the tech firm will sport a 6.2-inch full high-definition (HD) display, which will take up much of the front panel of the device.
This is thanks to the much smaller bezels that give the Huawei Mate 10 a taller, sleeker looking screen with 18:9 aspect ratio, which is easily becoming the new standard in mobile flagships.
Huawei is jumping to the dual camera trend as well, stuffing the Mate 10 with a pair of massive Leica sensors — one with 23 megapixels (MP) and another at 20 MP. It is believed that the cameras will be of RGB and monochrome configuration.
The Huawei Mate 10 is also described by the company as the "real AI phone," per the leak. This will be made possible with the Kirin 970 processor, which, as a bonus, should also help in boosting the performance of the sensors.
The handset will house a massive 4,000 mAh battery that should make for long hours of usage. This feature was recently teased by the tech firm itself a few days ago.
Apart from the specs sheet, renders of the Huawei Mate 10 have also come to light, not only showing the handset's ultra-thin bezels but how it looks in black and blue.
The dual camera setup on the back is arranged vertically on a strip of a lighter colored strip for emphasis. The fingerprint sensor sits just below the second camera.
The Huawei Mate 10 is set to be unveiled on Oct. 16 with two more variants, namely the Mate 10 Pro and the Mate 10 Lite.
