Huawei Mate 8 Release Date, Specs: Device Teased in New Image Leaked Online
An image of the upcoming Huawei Mate 8 has leaked online recently, featuring one of three versions of the smartphone that's said to be available.
Chinese telecom equipment company Huawei is gearing up to unveil its latest handset, the Huawei Mate 8, that's reportedly coming in three distinct versions with different-sized displays.
A leaked photo of what is alleged to be one of the versions turned up online, after live images of the phone's other iterations earlier surfaced.

The Huawei Mate 8 is said to come in 6.2-inch, a 6-inch, and a 5.5 or 5.7-inch display options, with the current leaked image showing a rounder camera with a dual-LED flash located at its side, and a fingerprint reader which wasn't noticeable in the earlier leaked images.
The most recent photo shows a design that appears similar to the Huawei Mate S, and while the image is said to be the upcoming Mate 8, there is as yet no guarantee that the featured handset is the alleged model.
Carrying a QHD screen, the image also features a 16MP rear camera, underneath which is reported to be an octa-core Kirin 950 SoC and a Mali-T880MP4 GPU supported by either 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage.
With the 6-inch version of the Mate 8 carrying a lower-end 1440 x 2560p touchscreen display, and the 5.7 or 5.5-inch version featuring a 1080 x 1920p resolution and less storage, all three versions of the handset will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow when they launch.
The Huawei Mate 8, each of which will reportedly be carrying a 4,100mAh battery and will come pre-installed with the company's in-house EMUI 4.0, will have price points of between $517 to $611, depending on the model.
While there has been no confirmation from Huawei about the exact date of the handsets' unveiling, the Mate 8 with its three iterations designed with a metallic build, are expected to be introduced to the public by the last week of November.
