Huawei MediaPad M2 Specs, Release Date: New 8-Inch Android Slate to Hit French Market This Month, More Countries Following Soon

After concentrating on its home market for the last few years, Chinese brand Huawei is now unveiling smartphones in foreign lands.

According to recent report, the device manufacturer has just unleashed a brand new Android tablet that will be headed not in China, neither in India, but in France.

In the report by Phone Arena, the device is an 8-inch tablet named MediaPad M2, and it should be available for the French market before May ends.

So what does this device offer? Based on the report, the Huawei MediaPad M2 packs an 8-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, Huawei's very own 64-bit Kirin 930 chipset, an octa-core CPU clocked at 2GHz, and 16GB of built-in memory.

For consumers who cannot get enough of storage, the device also has a microSD card slot that can handle up to 32GB of expanded storage.

Meanwhile, the camera department is composed of the 8MP primary shooter and 2MP front camera. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and is powered by a massive 4,800mAh battery.

Interested buyers who are concerned about the tablet's dimensions will be treated with a silver-colored metallic case, 7.8mm thick, and 310 grams. The MediaPad M2 also has 4G LTE connectivity.

Based on the report, the Huawei MediaPad M2 Android tablet will retail at an equivalent of $391 in France. The device will soon be available in other neighboring countries in the coming weeks or months, said the report.
