Huawei Nexus 7 (2016) to Arrive in May 2016?
The Google Nexus 7 tablet was a hit at the time it was first released. And now, with another year coming in, many are waiting for its newest version. According to Tech Times, Google has reportedly teamed up with Huawei on a new-generation Nexus 7 tablet.
Rumors about it are plenty but the latest one to hit headlines is about its release date, saying that it is expected to come around as early as May 2016. Google has already launched two generations of the Nexus 7 and both models were a product of a collaboration with ASUS. 2013 saw the launch of the second-generation Nexus 7 and no new model has arrived since then.
Google has already worked with Huawei for the Nexus 6P that was announced earlier this year. It seems like an indication that the multinational technology company is satisfied with its partnership with Huawei. There are claims that Nexus 7 is in production already.

However, none of the reports are official yet and most are still to be confirmed. But if the rumors are true, the tablet is expected to be powered with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset, as noted in Realty Today. The said chipset was recently launched in Asia.
There are also reports stating that the 2016 version of the Nexus 7 will have the same specifications as Google's Pixel C hybrid, which was recently just released. It's rumored to run on Android Marshmallow and will come with at least 2 GB of RAM paired with Huawei's own processor, the Kirin 950 chipset. But some say that the device will be equipped with the Nvidia Tegra X1 processor, which is the same with the Google Pixel C.
Yibada reported that the current model Nexus 7 2013 is available for $100 on Group On. Considering the big discount, it can be assumed that the arrival of its successor is about to happen.
