Huawei P9 is an iPhone Duplicate but How Do the Specs Compare?
When you put the new Huawei P9 smartphone beside an Apple iPhone 6s, you'll see for yourself that there is little difference between the two, at least in the aesthetics. The Chinese phone manufacturer is notorious for copying phone designs from leading counterparts, particularly Apple, but it certainly looks like they raised the bar this time.
According to Wired, the latest flagship phone from Huawei even has the same proprietary star-shaped security screw to that of the iPhone. Well, not only that, the same screw is situated in the exact same spot where the iPhone's screw is placed. The finish, design, and even the antenna bands are literally the same, the tech blog states.
Specs wise, everyone knows that the iPhone is built and designed by some of the best in the industry, so everyone else really is a step behind. But judging by the latest teardown from iFixit, it really is difficult to deny that the P9, which by the way sports a dual-camera feature at the back, nailed it when it comes to equaling the fanciness of its American counterpart. Both devices received a 7/10 repairability score, which should be deemed by Apple engineers as a threat to their dominance.
Well, another reason why it is quite accurate to compare it to the iPhone is the fact that it comes with a bunch of features that Apple is known for, including but not limited to the fingerprint sensor, the antenna bands (as mentioned earlier) and the security screws.
Finally, the camera might not be as high-end compared to the iPhone, but it sure does pack a punch. This time, the Guangdong-based telecommunications company decided to partner with Lecia on the P9 camera, which seems to belong to the upper class of smartphones.
