Huawei's Honor 7 Smartphones To Get Marshmallow Beta Soon
After Google released its newest iteration of its mobile OS, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, smartphone manufacturers started plotting out when and which of their devices will get the update. One of the manufacturers that work closely with Google, Huawei, is said to release a beta version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to one of its devices, the Honor 7, in a month's time, according to a Tech Times report.
According to a Huawei marketing executive, Xi Zhao, the Honor 7 will receive a beta test version of the OS towards the last week of November, when it will be rolled out by Huawei. Zhao apparently made the announcement at an event in Berlin, as reported by Android Central.
Being a beta test version, however, means that the OS may still have several issues and bugs, so users will likely be asked to participate in a feedback system so that bugs are identified and eventually fixed for the final version release. Owners of Honor 7 devices are advised to keep an eye out for the roll out.

Huawei had earlier released the list of devices that it plans to bring the Marshmallow update to and this list includes the Honor 7, the P8 series, the G series, the Mate series and the rest of the Honor series. The company was unclear however as to when the update will be rolled out, except for saying that it will be implementing it "in the weeks and months ahead." The report speculated that if the beta test will be running on the Honor 7 soon, other devices may start receiving the update before the end of the year or early 2016.
The Honor 7 is one of Huawei's powerful smartphones. It has a 5.2-inch display, a 20 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 8 megapixel selfie camera. Under the hood, it is powered by a Quad-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 and a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53.
