Husband Broadcasts Wife's Baby Delivery via Facebook Live
Delivering a baby has always been a private matter not until social media came and livestreaming happened. Everyone can now choose to bring in the entire family to the delivery process through platforms like Facebook Live and that's what exactly husband Fakamalo Kihe Eiki did with his wife.
According to a report by Huffington Post, Eiki, who is from Carmichael, California, captured the birth of his baby in real time via Facebook Live video.
With the caption "Let's try pushing baby out," the livestream started and recorded a total of 45 minutes. There were waiting, pushing, waiting, pushing and some more before the arrival of a healthy baby boy. The father is then heard in the video commenting his son's head is "full of hair" before zooming in for a close-up shot.

Though it wasn't anything close to an action movie, News.com.au detailed that the livestream was able to garner more than 7,000 live views. As of the current, the number has reached more than 150,000 views already with more than 1,800 reactions and around 300 shares.
Apparently, it may have something to do with the fact that it's not every day that people get to see someone giving birth, let alone in real time. The experience may have also given people a realistic look at hospital births, which is actually less dramatic compared to what is depicted in the movies.
Several were also noted commenting on the video. One cheered on to push while others commented on how beautiful the process was. One Facebook user also wrote, "MAZEL TOV to mom, dad and all family+friends! Thanks for sharing this to the WORLD!" Eiki replied, "Thanks guys for enjoying the gift of life with me." He also wrote alongside it an invitation for people to come celebrate next weekend with him for some barbeque if they are in the area.
For those who are asking if the wife knew about the live video, Eiki revealed in an interview with "Good Day Sacramento" that she initially did not know about it being live. She did catch on after he told her that that his cousin is cheering on her to push more. For the husband, sharing his wife's delivery is just to show some positivity in the social platform with all the negative that is happening.
