Ibrahimovic England Goal Video: Sweden Striker Performs Spectacular Overhead Kick in 4-2 Win (VIDEO)
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a wonder goal against England in Sweden's international friendly on Wednesday. The spectacular goal was just one of four scored by Ibrahimovic in the game that Sweden won 4-2. A video of the goal is shown below.
The international friendly had been a lackluster display, with much of the tempo and skills expected from the two teams beaten out by a poor pitch.
Ibrahimovic scored an early goal to give Sweden a 1-0 lead, however, towards the end of a forgettable first half England hit back with two quick fire goals to go in at half time 2-1 up.
The second half looked to be moving along to a loss for Sweden, when with just over 12 minutes to go Ibrahimovic scored an equalizer.
That seemed to spur him on and Sweden for the last 10 minutes became a one man wrecking machine as Ibrahimovic scored two more to round off a 4-2 win - a scoreline which flatters them somewhat, but maybe is deserved simply for the spectacular fourth goal from the Swedish striker.
Ibrahimovic was chasing up the ball as it bounced up towards England Goalkeeper Joe Hart. Hart came to the edge of his area to head the ball away from his box up in the air. Ibrahimovic then turned, running away from goal and about 35 yards out, to perform a spectacular overhead kick. England defenders ran back to try and keep the amazing strike out but such was the perfect weight and placement of the overhead kick that it went straight into the back of the net.
The headlines will read Ibrahimovic 4 England 2, and the Swedish veteran will continue to make his claim to be a legend for his nation's soccer team, and one of the best players in Sweden's footballing history.
