A balanced performance for the hosts, all of the Celtics players scored, with Jared Sullinger leading the way with 17 points. He also pulled down six rebounds in 33 minutes. Then-Celtic Jeff Green had 15 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out an assist in the contest.
Indiana relied on Roy Hibbert for offense in the game, with the center scoring 22 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Chris Copeland had 17 and six rebounds, but Indiana's 26 percent shooting rate from beyond the arc did not help them during the game.
The next time the teams met, Indiana played as hosts and won 107-103 in overtime. This time it was the Pacers' turn to have balanced scoring as all players scored at least four points in the game. Leading the way was Hibbert with 19 points and 11 rebounds, while C.J. Watson drained two of this three three-point attempts to end up with 15 points.
The Celtics shot poorly from the field, only converting 40 percent of their shots while going 10-of-34 from beyond the arc.
In their last match, the Celtics got their revenge in Indianapolis as they won 93-89 despite George Hill scoring 30 points for the Pacers. Tyler Zeller had 18 points, while Brandon Bass scored 16 for Boston.
