Infinity Blade Xbox One Release Date Info for China
Kinect's app game "Infinity Blade" is reportedly being primed for release in Xbox One consoles in China according to numerous reports and a video from Chinese forums.
"Infinity Blade" first came out in 2010 and was known for its touchscreen-based gameplay that allowed users to engage in swordfights with a tap or a swipe of the screen. Because of that, it became one of the first mobile games known for its impressive console-game quality.
Now it's reportedly hitting Xbox One consoles after reports came from two different Chinese forums, the NeoGAF and the A9VG. The game was rumored to have a storyline that combined most of the stages, areas and features that were present in its previous iOS titles, and will reportedly go by the name of "Infinity Blade of Destiny" or "Infinity Blade Saga" in the East.
Initial reports saying that Tencent was introducing the game at their Tencent Games Carnival Event was later proven correct after a video was posted showing a Chinese demo version of the game being played.
Tencent showed off the new game, calling it "Infinity Blade Destiny/Fate," and it will reportedly come with various DLC or downloadable content for their gamers. However, the Chinese internet company has yet to confirm an official sales release or whether or not the game will be available internationally.
The "Infinity Blade Destiny" will most likely be released and ready to ship before the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year, provided that Tencent will be able to get government approval as soon as possible.
There is also a chance that Tencent could release the games on PlayStation 4, though the current news suggest that Xbox One has taken priority.
Tencent is a major stakeholder of Epic Games the publisher behind "Infinity Blade," owning 40 percent share. They are working together alongside Chair Entertainment to produce the games.
