'Inhumans' Movie News: Movie to Be Cancelled Due to Internal Politics in Marvel?

With Marvel's removal of the already-changed showing date of its "Inhumans" from the lineup of movies it will release in the coming years, fans can't help but wonder if they still have a chance to see the characters in a big-screen live feature and join the other Marvel superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Originally slated for a November 2, 2018 release, the supposed movie was moved to a July 12, 2019 showing date. However, when it was announced that "Indiana Jones 5" will hit the theaters just a week after the new showing date of "Inhumans," many thought that there was a possibility that the latter will get bumped off again, and they were right. However, this time, the movie has not only been pushed down for a later showing date; it has been totally removed from the lineup of the Marvel movies to be shown over the years.

"Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added 'Spider-Man,' which was a big joyous coup for us. We added 'Ant-Man' and the 'Wasp,' which was a big fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an 'Indiana Jones' film for right around that same time. So I think it will shuffle off the current date that it's on right now. How far down it shuffles, I'm not sure yet," explained Kevin Feige, chief of Marvel Cinematic Universe, to Collider.

With this, it goes without saying that "Inhumans" is still up in the air. However, The Verge cited a report by Bleeding Cool, saying that "Inhumans" is no longer a priority in Marvel, and there is a high possibility that it will be cancelled due to the internal politics in the studio.

Meanwhile, Collider cited that the movie is the least anticipated Marvel characters to be considered for a live-action movie. The entertainment website opined that, while it is true that characters are felt in the TV series "Agents of SHIELD," their impact in the films are yet to be established.
