'Injustice 2' DLC Release Date News: Hellboy Playable Character to Arrive This Month

The next downloadable playable character to arrive to the fighting game "Injustice 2" is Hellboy.

In a newly released gameplay trailer, Warner Bros. and game developer NetherRealm Studios announced that Hellboy is arriving the newest playable character in the game in the next couple of weeks.

It has been previously confirmed that Hellboy is part of the Fighter Pack 2 alongside Black Manta and Raiden who were released in September and October, respectively. Reports agree that Hellboy is a surprising addition to the DC Comics-themed fighting game. Nonetheless, it is a surprise welcomed by fans and players.

At the start of the two-minute long trailer, fans will see Hellboy preparing for a fight against Atrocitus. The star of the video teaser appears with his signature attitude telling Atrocitus: "Whatever you got, I've seen worse."

Hellboy wastes no time in beating the sense out of Atrocitus with his famous Right Hand of Doom. In the comics, the Right Hand of Doom was a gift from Azzael, Hellboy's father, which is made out of stone and gives him superpowers in punching his enemies. Meanwhile, as far as the fighting game goes, the Right Hand of Doom is doing its task based on the trailer.

Meanwhile, the video teaser also comes with a brief description providing the playable character's backstory. It reminds fans and players of Hellboy's background being part of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense and his deep heroic experiences in protecting the world against "fiends, witches, demons, and more than a few Lovecraftian Gods."

Apart from the Right Hand of Doom, the trailer also confirms that "Injustice 2" players can use Hellboy's equally famous revolver in bringing down his opponents.

Players who have purchased the game's Digital Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Pack, or the Fighter Pack 2 will get them earlier on Tuesday, Nov. 14. Meanwhile, the character will be sold separately starting on Nov. 21.
